Cylinder head questions
« on: 06 April 2009, 21:03 »
Am in the process of swapping my head over. The donor head has the same part number as mine 026 103 373 AA, and looks exactly the same but it has another number next to it. The donor head has 60 next to it, but mine has 39. Have looked at vagcat but can't find any help on there. Anyone know why this is?

Cheers
Steve

It might be a batch number or something similar.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

That would make sense. Was worried it might mean there was some kind of difference, but as all part numbers are the same length it must mean they're the same.

For my next question, what's the best way to clean all the gunk out of an inlet manifold? Am thinking about dsoing a refurb on it as well, would an acid dip be good? Will probably do this to the head anyway.

That is the production run number.
