Steering Pump

Does anyone know if there should be any end float if any in the steering pump pulley  :undecided:

You can pull it out about 3mm  :undecided: hoping this is the source of the noise I get at tick over

you should have a small amount of end float but maybe not as much as your 3mm steve  :undecided:
