EXHAUST HELP
« on: 04 April 2009, 11:17 »
this may come across quite confusing but ill try and explain the best way that i can.

I bought a new performance downpipe and decat last week and it arrived yesterday. So yesterday afternoon me and maye

jacked up the car to see what kind of job this will be. First of all we noticed this was a b!tch to get to, We needed to get to

top of the existing downpipe, this is the one with the 4 nuts, yet they were unbeliebably tight, yet we mangaged to get one

of them moving, yet to our frustration we snapped the nut off, luckily its not blowing, but i dont want to touch the rest just

incase they snap off aswell.

I really dont want to pay a garage to do this job, any suggestions on how to get these nuts off without f**king them up. I was thinking maybe wd40 or heating them off yet obviously if they need heating a garage will have to do the job!!

Anyone had this problem before or can anyone recommend anything?

thanks jake

If you go to a tyre and exhaust place i would have thought about £50 at the most. I paid £30 for a cat to be fitted not long ago. Ring the local garages for a quote.
