It might have an AUM map on it but the map is coded to work with his ecu only, so that it cant be taken from car to car putting the same map on

The Alientech device is the same as the Chipped UK ST3 and the map IS locked to the car, you download your own ECU map onto the device then send it off via email to be modified and it is sent back to you to load onto the device, it is locked to the ECU serial number of the original car.

You can wipe them and start again on a new car but the original car has to have been put back to standrad before you can do this with the software provided, if it hasn't then the dealer has to reset it (this is true for the ST3 which is a rebadged Alientech any way)

I'd be opening a claim on paypal to get your money back because its going to be a hassle to get it to work with your car and your be better off just buying one from Nick with a couple maps

Hello,

Woffle seemed a really nice guy when I spoke to him and sold him the Powergate and stage1 tuning kit, he was a very keen to pay and make sure I got the funds.  I cannot see him ripping anyone off with intent. Ther must be a good reason he is replying to emails.

If Woffle has took the tuned file off his can and restored the factory map then the tool will work fine on another AUM,  The read file must be sent to me so I can provide another tuned file, there is only one credit for a remap on amk4 golf.

Nick
