will the r32 front brakes fit on my mk4 golf 1.8t. getting a bit confused from what i have read?

I believe so, you made need wheel spacers as they are thicker than standard GTi brakes.

As long as you've got 18's, they'll go straight on.
p.s. Not sure about 17's - Definitely not 16's, though.
