I had the same problem with my MFA and rev counter. The rev counter would blip up to about 1000 RPM and the water led would flash. I tried removing the correct fuse a few months back but this had no effect. I then took the clocks out to check the connections but everything seemed fine. In the end I bought a new set of clocks which fixed the rev counter but not the MFA. Does anyone  know what could be causing the MFA not to work as it was defiantly working in the car I tuck the clocks from. ???

The disconnecting battery thing hasn't worked for mine...neither for that matter has removing/changing the fuse in the fusebox. FRUSTRATING!! lol

My rev counter and MFA has never worked. I was told that it is a common problem. there is an advert in the Rabbit magazine and apperently they are charging 100 to fix the problem!!!

Do u think i should try disconnecting my battery?

Sounds to me like there is no constant feed to the clock.  :-\ Does position 2 of your MFA keep all the details ? If this resets itself then I'd deffo say it doesn't have a constant feed.

While out tonight the Revcounter started to work and the MFA was also fully functioning with the water temp light not flickering. I thought that for a short while God had seen fit to bless me with some good luck. ;D
Should have known that after just 1 mile it went intermittent again. :(
Any more ideas, sounds like a faulty wire/connection somewhere? ???
