Flooded engine

Firstly I apologise if this is a dumb question, but I have used the search function and cannot find an answer.
I have a mk4 2000 1.8gti 150 arz engined lpg running car, which I love by the way. Sometimes if the car has got up to normal running temp and then been left for 10 mins, when it comes to restarting the car will fail to catch and result in being flooded.
My question is .What is the best way of starting a flooded engine apart from waiting for half an hour?
Unfortunately this usually happens when my missus is using the car to pick the kids up,though it has happened to me .
I know that some cars have a flood mode,do golfs?
cheers any help is appreciated as the nagging is getting on my tits.

EDIT: my mistake read it as asz (diesel) does it only fail to start when it's warm?? when you say normal operating temp does it stay at 90 degrees or higher?

Get your car scanned for faults. Engine speed sensor (vw call it impulse sensor, but its a crank sensor to everyone else) can throw up a fault which will cause issues like this.

Hi sorry for not answering but I do nights.
Thanks for your help so far but my question is not about what is causing it to flood as this is not happening that often at the moment. But what to do once it has flooded? ie Do i remove the fuelpump fuse or crank with my foot down? I know that some cars mazda I think have a flood mode where if the car is started with the accelerator fully depressed then the cars ecu will only allow air into the system to clear the excess fuel.

Try holding your foot to the floor while cranking.
