Cold air intake on standard engine

Ok I can see that, would it affect the noise? a V4 doesn't make much noise but I'd like to give it a bit of a growl

I have a K&N cone filter.... Sounded a bit better i suppose.

then i fitted a straight through and sports cat. Now you cant hear an air filter.

So yeah....

Timing belts are easy on these cars. I'm 15 and replaced one no problems. It's easier to mark it all up with chalk, over existing marks so it's easier to see.

I'd like a better sound from my engine, I'll be doing this to my 1.8 not bothered about performance increase or not any particular way I should drill the holes, like how big, how spaced apart? How many?
