newb with a 1.8 mk3 golf
« on: 10 March 2009, 21:19 »
just bought a 97 mk3 golf 1.8 and i love it to bits. its pretty high milegae (190,000) but seems to pull well still and everythigns seems hunky dorie with it.

Couple of things i would like to know:

1. Even though its high mileage will it still go on for a few years as long as its serviced well and has decent oils put into it?

2. the drivers side electric windows arent working (is this a common problem and can it be easily fixed)

3. what are some good mods to do on a blank canvas, im not interested in raggin the sh!te out of it but i would like a few subtle mods to smarten her up a bit.

4. where can i buy dish rims and if i want to lower it by around 35mm do i need new shocks and can i just use new springs?

cheers guys and girls any help is apreciated!
