mk2 dash lights
« on: 02 March 2009, 16:19 »
hi guys im in the process of changing the lights on each of the switches on the dash and at the moment ive gotten as far as getting the fog light and rear window heater switch along with one of the window switches working with white led's behind them.

the problem i have is that the main light switch that turns on all lights (sidelights and main beam) works when i test by wiring the terminals to a battery but not when its actually plugged into the car! same goes for one of the other window switches!

want to know if i need new or bigger resistors on the leds because of the power load or if ive plugged up to the wrong terminals!?!?!?!

Your wiring could be getting in the way, or you've knocked something out.

I had a little trouble with the drivers window switch, but I kept putting it back together and all is sweet now.

thats the thing though the drivers side window switch stays on all the time? lol its the one of the two window switches that work! not sure about the other switches

i did take them all apart and tried checking to see if they still work but i havent had much time yet! any other suggestions
