Fitting Ipod adaptor to the anni

I bought the genuine vw ipod adaptor for my anni, it looks straight forward with just plugs but there is also two bare wires, can anyone tell me what thats for?

Gone but still keeping a close eye on it...

All the cables get used, but for the love of god I cant remember what goes where  :embarassed:  All I can remember is that the instructions dont make sense at all  :angry:

If I remember correctly you have to remove one of the wires from the existing loom & link it to the new one.... Though I cant remember which one!

Yeah I know, the instructions are ment for vw mechanics I think, it keeps refrencing other things. If anyone knows it would be a big help before I have to go into vw to ask them to do it.
