how much for new stereo holder thingy???

any ideas how much (or if its possible) to get a fibre glass mould made so that my stereo can be switched for the double sized ones you can get (cant remember what the name is exactly). I have a jvc chameleon and want to switch it for one of the larger alpine's that are all over ebay at the min.. any ideas anyone???

where would you put it?
if you want to put it where it originally is you will have to relocate the heater controls.

you could get a votex console and cut it up a bit. make two DIN apertures one. you might not need any fibreglass if you cut the hole the same size as the cage for the new headunit.

cut out the ashtray and lighter. I had a TFT screen mounted there before and a mate always mounts his headunits there.

sorry lads, but i opted for the tft instead. I still need the fibreglass made like you had in yours dizzie. How much did it cost. I want to leave the headunit where it is now (got a new h/unit aswell) and put the screen where the big hole is on at the bottom. its below the ashtray and is used for keeping cd's there at the minute. I assume all mk2's have this big hole thing.

I wouldn't put a screen there as a) you'll miss the hole to put things, and b) the gear knob blocks the screen when in 1st, 3rd and 5th.

How much did mine cost? How much are dremels these days?

any ideas where i can put it then?? I see what you mean about the gear problem... I dont want it to put it somewhere that it will spotted from a mile off. eg on top of the dash. Have you got a picture of yours dizzie??
