My golf sat a little lower on one side at the rear and caused a bit of tyre rub on 8" rims, it was a rusted out rear top mount which meant the spring was pretty much resting on the bodywork a cm or so higher than it should. New top mounts when I fitted new springs and shocks sorted it.
It would be worth checking that the springs are seated correctly in the rubber mounts at the top of the rear shocks, and in the correct seating place on the upper spring cap and lower spring plate on the front shocks, I guess this could make a cm or so difference if they are not right on one side?
