This is my first post, but I've had a look around before and the forum looks good.
Now I'm wondering if anyone could help me.
I've newly bought a MK4 2L GTI, and there's a couple of (hopefully) minor issues I'd like to look at.
Basically the car seems to be a bit lazy, but the symptoms are as follows:
The car sometimes squeeks upon startup (seems just to be if anyone's standing nearby!).
Thought this could be a suspect starter motor?
The car seems to idol quite low (around 800rpm), and sometimes "chugs" a bit under throttle between about 1000rpm and 2000rpm.
Thought this may be a suspect throttle body?
The display sometimes seems to light up, but does not display (but seems to work if I just restart the car).
Also, the lights seem to dull when I put the windows up together.
Not sure if these are both related to some sort of problem with the electrics.
I'm maybe making the car sound like a bit of a lemon, but I'm pretty happy with it on the hole.
Would just like to get any niggles sorted and thought someone on here might be able to offer some advice to the cause/solutions.
