Alpine 60X4 extra power!
« on: 08 July 2003, 18:05 »

Hello

Recently purchased a Alpine MP3 head unit for my car and gonna have it fitted on Saturday.  Becoz the power output is 60X4 the head unit needs some extra power from the battery.  Do you reackon I could get away with not giving the stereo the extra battery power and thus reducing the head units output.

My speaker setup is Alpine 6x9s rear and alpine 5 1/4 inch front (basically standard setup no amps)

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated

ive had this  alpine head unit for a while and did previously have it in another car and yes i would strongly suggest you power it from the battery i had mine setup up both ways with and without power from the batt and it makes a hell of a differance ive just had mine installled in my nice new golf m4 hehe and u really wont notice the cables from the battery  if its done properly.BTW if ur looking for nice powerful alpine amps im selling 4
