I've only used one combo so can only speak from that.

megs pads + menzerna polish + G220 as part of a deal.

clicky for Menzarna sample polish. You're not gonna use a huge amount of polish so that'll do for four or five rounds of polishing per bottle. Pads - Megs W7006 (cutting), W8006 (polishing) and W9006 (finishing) pads will do fine.

You don't need huge numbers of pads or polishes. A few basic ones are more than enough. As above, read the guide and it'll explain everything in detail. I did my first polish a few weekends ago using W9006 and P085RD and got a brilliant result. In a few months, during the summer, I'll get round to doing a more thorough polish using the more abrasive polishes/pads.
