mk4 climatronic heater noise?
« on: 07 February 2009, 13:56 »
hi
when i start my car the heater is making an annoying constant tick/clicking noise from behind the glovebox, when i push the button on the bottom left of the unit (recirculating button?) the noise stops, has anyone experienced this before or have any idea what it could be?
thanks

the heater motor is behind the glove box, i have one for sale for a climatronic car if you neeed it, not sure what the problem with yours is though sorry, could just be bits of grit stuck in the motor

glove box is easily removed but you have to remove the centre console front section first as there is a hidden screw and lots of people snap the leg off because they didnt know it was there, once you have undone the hidden screw open the glove box and remove the remaining 7 screws
