oil light flashing on a 01 18t ???

Ok i have a 2001 golf gti 18t i love the car and everything about it, but recently my oil light has been flashing and beeping but goes away.  I checked the level and changed the oil still nothing. Its not there all the time just comes and goes any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Could be the oil pick up blocked in the sump - common if the wrong type of oil has been used get it checked out ASAP for obvious reasons!!

Could also just be the oil pressure switch.

thanks i have it set up to go in just wanted to see if there was anything quick i could check
