So a VR6 is the way to go? When I said I like that idea most people said it was to heavy and the G60 was the one to do (Marcus). I then was told the G60 is to old and the 1.8T is the way to go. Now your back to VR6's. Marcus reminds me of that bloke from the Fast Show (he is in the pub and says something and someone disagrees with him so he agrees with that guy and someone disagrees so he then agrees with him and then its back to square one! ) ;D

I stick to the idea of a 1.8T and Dizzie should have some input here. Does anyone have a MK2 VR6 in this forum? Would be good to compare the 2 in cost and performance.

I am going to leave mine alone until I have the cash. Maybe get a little rebuild on her so it runs nice again.

I read a review of a smart roadster recently (bare with me). The reviewer said it was the best sports car he has driven for years.  His opinion was based on the fact that it was fun to drive and you could use every single bit of the cars performance whilst driving on public roads.

I wouldn't want one myself but one was behind me on the way back from action earlier this month and I got to agree, it flew. I got to also agree with jte here too, if you are putting new engines in cars etc then you need to look at what you use the car for, if it's a daily driver then it needs to be a practical block so that you can still have the every day fun and be able to enjoy the car, if you are going to bomb it round tracks then vr6 super duper turbo charge the little fekker. IMO  ;D
......now officially dubless.
