i had the exact same problem a few weeks back when i changed the rocker gasket, my bung was split on the flying saucer breather on the rocker cover, fixed it and drove it a good 30 miles now its cleared

that might well explain it then ... see the clear braided fuel hose in the pic above, i just fitted that as a replacement for the hose that used to be there, because when i looked at it yesterday it was all torn, thats basically the same effect as the saucer being damaged - being as they connect to the same place.

hi mate sorry to jump in on your thread but do you know what that sensor is for that is between the head and the inlet manifold?
on your last pic it has a red wire going to it mines never been connected to anything  :rolleyes:  just wonder what it is for?
