Heated Mirrors
«

My heated mirrors don't work!
They're supposed to come on with the heated rear screen right? Well the screen started steaming almost instantly, but the mirrors stayed caked in ice all the way to work - 35 min drive.
Any ideas?

thats correct
is there any dirt on the mirrors? try cleaning them off, then turn them on and place your hand against them - should feel warm
a common problem is that the elements in the mirrors do burn out - think replacement glass is approx £30

Think I'm gonna write my own manual rather than buy one to replace the missing one

Mine don't work either, think they've burnt out. Didn't think they'd come in useful really. How wrong was I?!

I didn't think much of it when the bloke selling it was raving on about them. Dodging lorries coming out of Dover docks this morning with no mirrors was fun anyway!
The mirror switch is pointing to 0 - I'm going to get the casing off tomorrow when I get home from work and see if I can see any obvious wiring issues.....if nothing there then new glass?
