« on: 14 January 2009, 20:21 »
I know this has been covered 100 times, but what is the best polish to use on a light scratch, perhaps only laquer on silver bodywork?

many thanks!

I used Maguires Scratch X when a thorn bush decided it wanted to make a light scratch right the way down the side of my car, we are talking about 3 foot long, I wanted to cry when I saw  it. Took it out no problems and you can no longer see it unless you take a magnifying glass to it.

can anyone recommend a product on scratches that you can feel when you run your nail over it? ie. not light but quite deep.

I think anything that deep you might have problems with :undecided:

Paint is about the only product im afraid. It may be machinable but you would lose alot of paint!
