Alright cahps and chaesses, im currently on the search for a GTi of some form... after i sell my car that is, im looking at mk2s and 3s, the mk3 16v is cheaper to insure then the mk2 16v which was quite strange, anyway

pros and cons of each?

I think that may be because the mk2 is slighty faster and is less likely to have anti theft devices fitted...clifford's etc

With ref to your insurance, it is not just based on the car but also your age, driving experience and postcode etc etc 

Ive never driven either so can't add anything regarding the cars themselves..other than I would have a mk2 out of both
