Cleaning up scratched plastic
« on: 25 January 2009, 23:09 »
I'm getting some R32 dials put into my mk4 in a couple of days.  However there are a few scratches on the plastic front which in certain light are quite noticeable.

Does anyone have any recommendations on how I can get the front of the cluster looking like new again?  Rhyso, you mentioned something to me, but I forgot the name  :embarassed:

Cheers :afro:

I'm sure you can get some type of T-Cut stuff but that's made especially for plastic.

^^ Plast-x works well - if its so bad you think it needs sanding it'll be easier to buy another! the plastic on speedo's are made of some kind of see through soft cheese.......

something i used to brighten up my rear lights was a little bit of G3 with some glass cleaner and megs wax, mix it up rub like hell, came up like new!
