anyone know where i could get a conversion kit, as i would like to put 45's on my mk1. Getting the carbs isnt really the problem, its the inlet manifold etc etc that need to go with it. any ideas? or has anyone done it/have any experience with it?

TSR do the 8v/16v inlet manifold you'd need and i spose they will be the one's to talk to about anything else u will need..

dont forget u need- throttle linkage, fuel pump (facet red/silver), fuel pressure regulator and obviosly the carbs setting up once installed..

let me know how u get on cus i got twin 40's and omex to put in my mk1 once the rest is finnished.. ;)

what engine u putting the carbs onto btw?

For inlet manifold try:

Lynx Motors International Ltd

68 Castleham Road
St Leonards on Sea
East Sussex
TN38 9NU
England

Tel: 44 (0) 1424 851277
Fax: 44 (0) 1424 853771
E-Mail: enquiries@lynxmotors.co.uk

I ran a single 40 DCOE on a manifold from them to replace an original Solex.

I got my inlet manifold from a place called motoscope in northallerton but demon tweeks also do them i think.

I've got 40's and would recommend them over 45's if u'r running a 1.8 8v. i also got the intlet manifold flowed as it wasn't the best inside!

They sound fantastic by the way!!
