What a shame it was wet!!! My Ferrari will never experience wet-weather driving!
Lovely cars! How do you find the 430Scud in comparison to the 360CS?
hi m8, here's my impressions from a little while ago-
"430 scud raises ferrari's game massively.... i havent driven regular 430 but can already see that that the e-diff is massive difference between 360 and 430 driving position's spot on , seats are very comfy tho only adjust like cs seats- back/fwd and there's a wheel on side for the back bucket. overall the 430 is much easier to drive at low speed compared to cs , steerings a bit light then but beefs up nice when on the move. Scud's nowhere near as stiff as cs .with my limited knowledge of track based road cars, i would say the scud is a great compromise. that gunshot upshift is still ringing in my ears .....the car's really loud when you press on .today was snowy, wet and greasy and i had the cs in race once with tail wanting to snap out...the scud was in rain mode and is so sure footed it's incredible. 430 has a lot more torque lower down and picks up speed more urgently than cs . valves are open from about 3k rpm in any mode and sound is incredible- add in the superfast gearchange and the scud is untouchable. changes are literally as quick as you can flick the paddle shift
one thing i was sure on was that scud would not sound as good as cs -WRONG
upshift's past 3k rpm sound like a gunshot and the change up lights on cf steering wheel are a nice touch. the car has a very deep tone , much deeper than cs and on hard acceleration, it;'s like a sonic sound wave just past your car . one gripe is that downshifts are pretty tame tho i didnt use race mode so that might change things.
scud's interior is very well made and guys, i wouldnt spec alcantara after seeing the tech fabric today. this car had tech interior with some alcan inserts on dash, it works very well. cf wheel and paddles are a must imho.forget the fire extinguisher unless you're on track a lot ."
