mk2 gti 16v newbie

hi ppl gettin my mk2 gti 16v dropped off this, no tax or mot on it hence being dropped off,

got a few issues to content with like heater matrix! a new windscreen and a damn good cleaning but hey for 250 im not complaining!

got a few questions hopefully someone can help with!

1. ne other known faults ill need to address?
2. been told its a 2.0ltr 16v engine? how can find out wat engine this is, not overly fused just gonna be easier to order bits lol!

look on the back of the enigne block it'll ether have 2.0  or 1.8 cast in big numbers,    also worth getting is the casting number off the head,    it'll end in ether 051 oe 027.     if the  block has 2.0  and the head 027   be happy
