Faulty wipers ...
« on: 25 November 2008, 13:02 »
Afternoon chaps, the wipers on my golf stop in random positions and if I push the stalk up to do a single wipe they just stay in the position they are at when the stalk is released. I thought it might be the relay so I changed that and checked the fuses and still no joy.  Does the car have a wiper position switch built into the motor to sense which position they are in?

Thanks Tim

So would that be a new linkage and motor job or can this `switch` be bought seperately?

Cheers

new miper motor if thats the problem :(        the "switch" is inside the gearcaseing iirc and it's one of those things that isn't really repareable.
