mk2 16v starting problems

Hi all

1st post and after help. My '88 16v mk2 will crank over fire and even rev then dies straight out maybe 2-5 seconds of running. Fitted new rotor and cap and ran fine then this problem started got a spark ok. Fuel to " 5th injector"  but plugs look dry even after cranking it over so suspect no fuel going through injectors.

I had a similar problem, but it was worse to the poiint car wouldnt fire at all hot, left me stranded.  it was the fuel filter
worth looking at the lift pump too, if its bust the main pump cant get enough fuel.  pull the electrical plug from the main pump and turn key 1 click, make sure you can hear the lift pump prime.
