Hi all can anyone answer this for me please?
I set my engine at TDC before removing the timing belt (lining up notches on crankshaft and intermediate sprockets) but i noticed the notch on the intermediate sprocket appears to be a tooth out compared to what it says in the haynes manual however the car was running sweet.
The notch on the dizzy is slighty out either side if i try and adjust the intermediate sprocket to the apparent correct position.
My question is what difference would it make to the running of the engine if the intermediate sprocket was a tooth out?
Should i set it up as stated in the haynes manual then twist the dizzy to make the notch line up? or just put it back how i found it?
Hope this makes sense
