Air box advice

Was thinking of buying a k&n induction kit for my 8V like the sound  :laugh: but was told why dont i just drill the air box and put
a panel filtter in it. Is this ok to do or should i just buy the induction kit  :undecided:

Do a search as this has been covered many times. Some people will swear by one, others the other.

Me? I'm a drilled airbox and decent panel filter man myself. Only drill the bottom section and do it on the side facing into the wing so as to avoid water getting in there.

If you decide to buy a K&N induction kit I have one for an 8v Digi I could sell you. Only been fitted and tested. Decided it wasn't for me though.
