So have you ever done any vr's..?

Might think about getting mine done if its worth while.

The ECU in the pic was from a 2.8 VR6 we remapped yesterday, The car had a de-cat, performance induction and exhauts fitted. the guy  was over the moon with how the remap changed the engine, no massive power gains but nice smooth constant power, ironed out the running and flatspots.

Rough cost..? Pm me if you want.

My vr is also decatted, with induction kit and exhaust aswell as 6-2-1 manifold.
Made 191.4bhp at Awesome gti in april, recon you could squeeze 200 ponies out of her..?

Hello m8,

A mk3 VR6 remap with the new blank PLCC44 chip will be around £185 all inc. I cannot be exact on the power gains, but we can put you on the rolling road and get some exact Wheel BHP gains. When giving fly wheel bhp gain there is too much guess work with the transmission losses.  We like to your with exact figures and not calculated measures.

Hey there Rtech,

If I buy a chip, is it an easyish DIY job or would I be better to get a proper car spark to fit it for me?

In general it is only about 5bhp difference then but the car will be more driveable?  Does it make much of a difference to economy?
