meguiars 3 stage kit, nxt or what

im going to buy some good cleaning kit tomorrow and just wondering what i should go for, the only place near me that is gonna sell anything good is halfords, so what should i go for??  the 3 stage mequiars cleaning kit(deep crystal i think its called) or the nxt stuff.  or anything else u can think off thats available from halfords???

prepared to spend around £50 on liquids and cloths

no replys but did get the 3 stage mequiars+ applicator pads, terry towls and micro fibre cloths, used it atoday and car looks great, no pics yet

Sorry spacerat ... for that amount of money .. that would be good. You can and probably will if you research it enough and like the results go to a higher level. As always there is good better best .. look around here and you will see how much you can spend!

Megs 3 step is ok. Step 1 is not a bad paint cleaner, step 2 is more of glaze than say srp, I would though replace step 3 with something like NXT 2.0 (if you want to stay with megs)about £15 or for a bit more money a good paste wax like Chemical Guys 50:50, Dodo Juice or Race Glaze 42 all around the £40 mark.

Any of these will outlast megs step 3. by a country mile.
