16V computer
« on: 10 June 2004, 23:00 »
Just bought a new 16valver.  Everythin works on the cpu apart from the mpg counter whish seems to always read arount 15mpg.

Anyone know how to fix this.  I have an written off 16valver with a perfect cpu that works fully, can i just swap em over? Is it a hard job?  ;D

its just the bit on the back of the clocks that is the mpg reading its a big thing with a vacuum tube going into it.

check the vacuum tube isnt leaking tho it connects onto the inlet manifold around the end opposite the throttle body, or it will be in the vacuum pipe that runs into the brake master cylinder

the car next to the new one is my old 16V.  Had a head on collision unfortuantly.  I was stationary at the time hence the payout for the new 16V  ;D :D
