Owners Handbook
« on: 06 October 2008, 12:15 »
This might be a stupid question (so feel free to laugh out loud !), but is there such a thing as an Owners Handbook for the GTI ?

I'm on about something that tells you how to use the different features in the cabin ?

Only reason I ask is that someone in my office recently contacted Peugeot for an owners handbook for their 307 (teling them how to set the radio up along with the various other functions in the car).  It got me wondering if there is such a thing for the GTI ?

Most things are common sense - and I've been through most of what I'm likely to use, but I have no doubt that there are plenty of things the car has that I don't know anything about !.

I am laughing out loud but only because you said i could.
I am not sure but you may have missed it, there is a designated place for the handbook in the upper part of your glovebox.
If its not there ask your dealer who you bought the car off to replace it for you he should do this as a good will gesture, and he will probably just take one out of another  car.
Failing that i think you can get them off E-bay for a few quid.  :smug:

It should be in a nice GTI badged folder (well as nice as a folder for car manuals can be), if you didn't get this and it was a dealer supplied car something isn't right IMHO.

Hmm, sounds like maybe it wasn't such a daft question.

The only "manual" I have is the service manual type booklet, there's nothing else.

I did drop a text to my mate at the dealer and he said he was unaware of an "owners handbook" as I'd called it.  Perhaps I need to pop back in there during the week and ask again.

Cheers,

This is what you need >>>clicky<<<

As said, there's a storage spot for it in the glove compartment. Have a look!

I'll have a quick look tomorrow, but from what I've seen, all that's in my glovebox is the service guide booklet, nothing else.

I've dropped a quick message to my mate at the dealers, so i'll await his response.  If no joy I guess I'll get the one linked too (thanks for that !).
