You were certainly using all of Sears corner!   And boy were you lighting it up on the exit of the Esses.

Seriously though, whilst the Quaife would be good, I reckon you also need a bigger front anti-roll bar.  Because it was only on the chicanes, where you are rolling rapidly from one side to the other, and it was picking up the inside front and spinning.

Great vid though.  How often do you get to Snett?  Send me a PM, and I'll meet you there next time.

Its going in Monday for the Diff fitting, should be interesting to see if the lap times are any better (always blame the tools!). I've got H&R anti-roll bars front and back, not sure if you can get bigger can you? Been to Snett about 6 times got a lap down to 1.29, need help now from someone with a a bit of experience, PM you for a meet and some tips when I get the car back.

If you have the largest ARB on the front, then maybe some stiffer front dampers - particularly stiffer on the compression side - as it is the rapid change from left to right which seems to be the biggest issue.  When you are hard on the gas out of Coram, the Bomb Hole or Sears, both fronts can get the power down OK.

Have you ever been to Mallory Park or Donington?  If so, what is it like coming out of the proper hairpins?  And during braking in a straight line, does the front end dip much?

Its going in Monday for the Diff fitting,

....Who's installing the Quaife, Neil?

You'll definitely enjoy what it contributes. :afro:

AMD in Essex, they are just round the corner and use a 'specialist'. It'll be intersting to see the difference between a standard Quaife and a VW racing one.

Yes did the Melbourne Hairpin @ Doninton, but a wet day @ Mallory Park trying to get round Shaws Hairpin was something else :undecided:, I may have had time for a cup of tea waiting to get the power down. Been alot of talk about the Whiteline Anti lift kit, would that help in conjunction with the LSD? Not dipping to badly but when hard on the brakes from speed it snakes around like f**k

I needed to have The Idiots Guide to LSD's explaind to me to get my head around it, basically a normal open diff would bias more power to the wheel that has least grip, the Limited Slip Diff does the opposite, so when cornering hard the inside wheel would loose traction so power would go to the wheel with more grip preventing wheel spin, also works when one wheel is on ice or slippery surface.

....Very minimal difference - Supposed to be faster/sooner responding - But I was mistaken about some of the info I posted - It's not a redesign (T_T was right). Lesson learnt - Listen to the 'horse's mouth' and not second-hand through a well-meaning friend.

A 'specialist' is a wise action :afro:.

....As T_T explained in another thread, the Quaife is not a conventional Limited Slip Diff - It's an ATB diff : - http://www.quaife.co.uk/VW-DSG-ATB-diff
