Which lights...?
« on: 30 September 2008, 11:29 »
I need 2 new headlights (full lamp) as mine have rusted a little.

Just wondered which replacements are best to fit and where's best to get them.

I'm on a budget so nothing too pricey

Thanks

Try VW because sometimes they work out cheaper! If not try GSF or www.breakeryard.com

Always work well for me
Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.

You forgot to mention the 60/55w Xenon blue tint H4 bulbs.

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

blue tint bulbs will result in less useable light on the road...

i have had a few different brands of lamps on the golf and can safely say that hella are the best quality and beam pattern.

bulb retaining clip brackets snap on the lucas lamps and the bosch lamps have a crap beam pattern!

I don't think a semi will give the same results

The uprated loom really works!

My fella is in the process of making a really nice one for my car. If you're handy with electric stuff it's not difficult to do yourself  (I could understand it so must have been simple!)

I'm going to get brighter bulbs once it's done, with the golf's nice round headlights they won't be too blinding for other drivers, unlike people who drive modern tall cars with wonky shaped headlights with those horrible flashy-blue headlights
