Panel Dink - Dent King - Recommended
« on: 23 September 2008, 23:36 »
For some weeks now I've had to put up with a dink in my r/n/s quarter panel after it was in the dealers bodyshop for some paint

The waistline lacquer scratches on the opposite panel are another issue but as the car is due a service tomorrow (2 yrs) and booked in for paintwork correction/detailing next week, I decided to bite the bullet and get the dink removed. Some years ago I had the misfortune to get a dink in my Boxster and used Bill Heaneys OPC bodyshop in Newcastle to get it sorted - top job. I rang them again this week and got a recommendation for a guy called Ed who has a company called Dent King. He came to my home today and has calmly, painlessly and professionally removed the dink within 10 mins (5 of which i spent chatting to him !).

As luck would have it, the r/n/s panel innards can be accessed via an inspection hole under the wheelarch by the simple removal of a large rubber grommit and fortunately this was the situation in my case  The alternative was the removal of door pillar trim with the possibility of a misfit around the seat belt assembley

If you are in the North East, and need this service, it's Dent King and the guy's name is Ed - his number is 07917 646830.

Credit where it's due, and that's not the norm these days, this was a top job and he's a guy I can wholeheartedly recommend. Can't say fairer than that :smug:

Now for the paint correction/detail and I'm back in love again

Well, after the OEM Bluetooth (when I eventually get round to installing it ) and the RNS 510 upgrade
