hi could any 1 tell me what are the best mods to make an 8v Digifant engine faster???

chip!
full exhaust system,
kent racing cam,
port/polish
bore the head out to 2litres,
air filter

to do all that properly you should see your digi kickin out 160bhp+.

but id think all that work would cost you 3-4k to do.
for that money mate why dont you just buy a g60?
i wanted to do the above to my 8valve digi, then thought it would be more cost effective to get a g60 badboy!

It's the bottom end that needs the modification to increase capacity ... and you'd be suprised how much money would need to do the things listed below. Certainly not 4 grand !

1. Chip say ?300 top wack although that's well over the odds
2. Exhaust ?300
3. Cam kit ?300
4. Head work ?200
5. Bottom end (Audi 2 litre swap) ?100
6. Panel filter ?30

That's only ?1250 for the parts new, ebay can help cut the costs again on things like exhausts - bit of DIY and auxiliaries for fitting etc; you'll only need ?1500ish !

cheers 4 that! by the way is it easy to get hold of G60's because i dont think i have ever seen one.

I think ill get to work on that list, i have about ?1000 to spare

if you already got a grand then you would only need another 1k for midlad vw to do a g60 conversion for you!!!!
