Had the old girl weighed yesterday..

Was at a call with work that had a weighbridge and they let me stick the old girl on to see what she's weighing in at (out of curiosity )
Anyway, with 20kgs of gear in the boot (weighed) and a full tank of motion lotion in the tank, she tipped the scales at 1410kgs..
So with the fuel weighing in at around 45kgs and my work gear in the boot weighing about 20kgs, probably another 5 kgs of misc crap in the car. I would say she's about 1340kgs roughly..
Anyone else had theirs done?

Manual official weight is 1336kg

Edition 30 is slightly heavier due to a few extra ancilliaries.

Thats not that heavy for a modern hot hatch of this standard, out of interest how much do the FOcus ST, Audi S3 and Megane R26 weigh ? ?

I reckon it would be quite exspensive to get our golf down to 1250 kg, also it would make its everyday use a pain.

That Megane has no rear seats ( retarded for a hot hatch) ,no sound deadening. plastic windows, and a titanium exhaust(optional ). I wonder how many hundred miles it will do before bits start popping off/breaking.
