by my powers of investigation if discovered it belongs to dan Coleman of Northampton it apparently runs a 13 sec qarter mile and poss needs a turbo rebuild in the near future!

In all seriousness, that car prob won't be available come be of October an tbh I'd say it's a bit pricey. I think in a month or so classifieds will be even cheaper, because if there's one good thing to come out of this credit crunch it's that it seems to have nearly eradicated stupid over inflated scene tax on certain cars!

Anyway good luck with your hunt an I'm very jealous!
Skoda Octavia VRS DSG (soon!)

If it's the one I think it is, the current owner hasn't had it long. Was built by a scottish chap over a long period of time and did everything properly.. resulting in a very quick and solid motor.

half thinking bout getting a loan out now and paying it of once i got my cash ready, but at the same time, anything could happen in the next 6 weeks and not willing to take that risk.

Ill carry on checking the classifieds daily and see what turns up.

Think those seats put me off - light grey does not work! Other than it being perhaps too low for my drive...

looks great! i would say that car is worth every penny of that asking price. engine conversion would cost you that alone
