Golf Mk3 Transmission / Linkage

Ok, i had a problem with my clutch and linkage, apparently part of the linkage had come off and gone missing so my local garage they fitted a new linkage thing that i lost, but now my gears are mixed up, the first gear is where the reverse gear is ? and the gearbox is really stiff, they said there is some play in the other linkages and these need changing ? is this right? and how much should i be looking to pay them to do this?

Also does any body know where i can get a cheap 2nd hand clutch from or even a brand new 1 for a golf mk3 gti 8v as my cash funds are running low now and i need to get my car fixed asap.

try eurocarparts/gsf for the linkages...the whole lot cost about £40 and you'll need a setting tool for about £5. or you can buy them seperate if you know which you need
oh and clutch wise i would say dont buy second hand as they are a pain to fit and its a job you wont want to do again!! and a cheapo new will be around £60

tried gsf they said they didnt do the full kit? do i need to buy each linkage individual?

and does any 1 know where i find the colour code for my golf so i can get the touch up paint, its the like dark purple colour one?
