- Hi guys,

Selling the car come November time, how much should i be listing the car for? I bought it for 3k last year but i know i'm not getting that, would 2.5 be a decent price?

2.0 Gti
Stock everything apart from lowered & has speakers/amp.
X reg (2000) 3 door, black, 1 previous owner
125,000 Full VW service history.
Fresh tyres, Mot & tax.
Clean inside & out apart from a few chips/scuffs, rims are tidy.
Drives like new, starts first time everytime.

Thanks for tha second opinion. Although i might try for £2,700 for a few weeks. The 1.8t seem to go for about £3,000 - even.

just bought my 2001 mk 4 2.0 gti for £2500 with 106k full leather, mine is keyed down the one side so would suggest you advertise at £2900 with the idea of being dropped to 2700 ish but november is a bad time cos xmas round the corner

i think that would be a fair price to ask as long as it has mot ect

and that the milage ect dont go up too much by november :)

FYI sold my 2.0 MK4 2001 YREG 80k for £3800 just so you can get an idea.

Id go for £2900 (which imo is high but if you dont ask, u you dont get)and see how you get on. All depends how quickly you want to sell.

What you getting next? If memory serves your the guy from Beckenham which is just down the road from me in Shirley.

Thank you everyone, looks like i'll list it for £2,900 then i'll be able to haggle a bit too as £2,500 is what i was hoping for.

Alan, yup that's me. Next car, either, Golf 1.8t, Fto Gpx or Mr2 turbo. :smiley:

Get a 20V Golf mate. 
Golf SOLD. Replaced with a Yamaha Raptor 660 quad and loving it. This will be replaced in August with a Raptor 700. Sold the quad now got a Vectra GSI 2.5 V6 and its the nuts.

Brands Hatch massive. MEMBERSHIP ACCEPTED!
