Rear axel bushes

Hm yea my car failed MOT on these buggers.   Now i know its a big job,  should i be able to do it my self?  i already have the parts but its pressing the old ones out and the new ones in im worried about!  Any tips on doing it would be great.   :smiley:

maybe but would be better with 2 of you. axles are fairly heavy. make sure you know someone with a big press :)

Thats the problem, i dont have a press, getting it off is fine  :grin:

Big problems... i cant press the things in.. .and all my garages say i need a special press!! they wont do it so im left with no car and no way of getting the bushes in  :angry:

thats great wouldnt have managed without the DIY guide!  I have managed to do it... quite easy with the right tools... i would imagen coz it was a an absolute F***ER!!!  Witout them  :grin: :evil: :evil:

i did manage it in the end.  i had to cut the brake load sensor off and weld it back on... stupid!!! anyway its fixed now,  just needs to go back on tomorrow  :grin:
