Black's where it's at!!
« on: 28 August 2008, 13:34 »
No matter how much I try, I just can't love a silver car. I've had it for 2 and a half weeks now, but I just can't fall in love with it lol. I need to go back to black lol. I've seen a minter, £3600, FSH, 63000 miles, leather recaro interior, mint inside and out!

What am I to do???

Hard to keep clean yes. But when they are clean,  they look the tits!!

Don't know what I'd get back for mine, I suppose I would lose money. I paid £4100 for mine a couple of weeks ago, 57000 miles. But since then, I've put on a Miltek cat back, BMC CDA and forge DV. I dunno, I wish I'd waited a couple of weeks not... hmph!

They do look the dogs when clean, but such a pain to keep clean.
I used to spend all day cleaning my old car, drive half mile to the shops and back and it would be stinking.
I love the looks of them but ill never own an other.
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

I've got silver and even when its dusty it still looks clean.  If i could be bothered to clean it regularly i'd have a black one... and that is the original GTI colour, but im not sure i'd consider selling a good car just on the basis of not liking the colour too much.

By the way, the price you paid for yours makes me think i overpaid for my one.  Bought mine back in April, (2001) 1.8T 20v GTI Silver, stunning inside and out, 56K miles when i bought it and i paid £4950 from a garage.
