Did you fit them back on with sticky? I ordered a set the weekend for my newly aqquired german plates
I screwed the plate holders to the bumper using the original screws and used sticky strips to hold the plate in place. I put sticky strips on both the left and right sides and then cut a third strip in half and stuck it in the middle of the plate for added stickiness. All in all, job took me about 25 minutes (most of that was cleaning behind the old plates).
Now to order the Gti Anniversary grill badge and rear aero wiper kit. I've got the modding bug
