DIY fitting a sunroof!

Can anyone tell me how far back from the windscreen the sunroof should be????
Or could anyone pop out a measure for me??

You might want to add what make and model you are putting a sunroof on?

Its a Mk3 golf gti 20 8v.

And why LOL written all over it?

Fitting new steering rack tomorrow and new suspension all round!!

Its not rocket science is it lol im a engineer by trade and do alot more taxing jobs than this!!!!

haha, i can understand why mikestar said this, i had visions of someone frantically cutting a messy hole in their roof with a jigsaw.
Sounds like your pretty competent though :( ;)
measure up someone elses, theres bound to be one down your road...

My uncle went to the scrap yard years ago and got a sunroof and did exactly that, suprisingly it looked pretty good, leaked like a sieve though haha.

With the weather we're having at the momment I wouldnt waste my time fitting a sunroof, cant remember the last time I open'd mine !
