Brakes feel a bit soft, HELP!

Right, day off today so had another go at sorting these brakes out.

Jacked the rear of the car up and supported on axle stands.

Gave to bias valve a spray/knock and set it open.

Used my new pressure bleeding kit and did the 2 rear calipers - got a few bubbles from each side, pushed the bias valve in/out a couple of times, bled again and got a few more bubbles.

Then jacked the front end up and bled the front 2 calipers - got lots of bubbles from n/s/f and a few from o/s/f.

Removed bleeding kit, started engine + brakes have alot more feel now!

My only question is, where is the fill line on the brake fluid resevoir as can't see any 'max'/'min' markings on it?

should be right on the front of the reservoir, big arrows moulded right into it

The rubber inlet has been rubbing on the corner of the brake fluid resevoir so has possibly worn some of the writing away?

Approx how high above the seam should the fluid be?

It defo should have the old Max - Min on it mate

ah, looks like someone took off the reservoir and put it on the wrong way round! especially since its now rubbing on the inlet boot...

Great stuff - that explains why I can't see the max/min marks! (should be able to see if I get a mirror behind?)

So, next question is - how do I turn it the right way around?

(Im guessing it's not doing any harm with it how it is - apart from rubbing on inlet pipe?)

yeah get a mirror round the back. to take it off give it a good yank upwards, its held in with the 2 seals on the master cylinder. it'll be fine apart from the rubbing issue, it might rub thru the boot eventually so prob work doing it.  you'll loose a fair bit of fluid when you do this so watch the paint!

If it just pulls off then thats easy enough!

Im going to get some braided brake hoses soon so will drain the fluid and turn it round when I do those I think.
