Hmmm . . . the air-con itself doesn't make a noise on mine when running, but immediately after you turn off the engine, it makes a kind of ticking/gurgling sound - weather i've used the air-con or not.

The stealer says "they all make that noise" - but refuse to let me listen to another GTI!
