Damn! i've done the pliers trick about 4 times i better be careful from now on

i ended up takin the headlamps out it was so much easier

should never pull on wires with pliers you must have been really lucky to get away with it so often, you stretch the wires inside the plastic sheath and they will eventually break altogether. taking the headlight out is no hassle at all. although i do think it's very poor design to have to take the headlight out to change bulbs, mr VW obviously didnt pay much attention in the design process

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REMOVE THE BUMPER TO CHANGE THE BULBS!

Took me 20 miins to do headlight s and sidelights.

you should have plenty of room behind there mate  i changed the dipped beam ones with the headlight insitu (changed the sidelights when you removed the bumper before you say anything)

what size washer bottle you got? 3 or 5.5litre?

ha ha i had one changed the other day i got the blokes at vw to fit it in for me when i bought it
